Children's Pelvic Floor Therapy

Pelvic floor dysfunction can affect people of all ages, including children. We provide a non-invasive approach to help your child develop control and independence with their bowel and bladder function.

Common pediatric symptoms that may warrant pelvic floor therapy may include:

  • Urinary urge

  • Urinary frequency

  • Urinary retention

  • Bed-wetting

  • Bowel urgency, frequency, or retention

  • Constipation

We believe that collaboration with parents is key in establishing effective routines and ensuring the parent and child's comfort with this sensitive topic.  As the child's individual plan of care indicates; muscle strengthening, muscle relaxation, behavioral modifications, environmental modifications and diet recommendations may be integrated into treatment to facilitate successful elimination patterns.
